Megaware was founded in the year 1991 in Boston, Massachusetts. Since its inception, Megaware has been serving the Life and Laboratory Science communities. Through the 1990's, Megaware played significant roles in the development of multiple industry-leading Chromatography Data Systems.
Megaware’s key drivers to unmatched outputs have been innovation in every stage of performance and delivery, and its product oriented approach. Megaware’s team has contributed much to the Information Technology and the Life and Laboratory Science areas worldwide.
In the mid 1990s, Megaware created MegaPrint™-a unique print system designed to allow VAX/VMS computers to print directly to PCL and Postscript printers. This system allowed major corporations to maintain multi-platform environments, including mini-computers, mainframes and the PC platform. This technology was the precursor to the "Print to Database" Technology that formed the basis for NuGenesis® SDMS, the industry leading Scientific Data Management System.
NuGenesis Technologies Corporation (then Mantra Software) spun out of Megaware in 1996. Waters Corporation acquired NuGenesis Technologies in early 2004.
For the past few years, Megaware has been working closely with leading Laboratory Informatics vendors on LIMS, ELN, SDMS, EDMS and Instrument Software solutions.
Megaware offers multi-disciplinary skill designed to help its customers maximize the value of their Informatics Technologies & Data. We offer a unique combination of business and technology skills, including expertise in multiple Enterprise Informatics platforms such as:
- Scientific Data Management Systems (SDMS)
- Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
- Electronic Laboratory Notebooks (eLN)
- Document/Content Management Systems
